Trading hours are in U.S. Central Time, unless otherwise stated. Monday-Friday server maintenance is between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm CST. In addition, we do schedule major updates after the close of business Friday through Saturday. The system will be available at a minimum of 1 hour prior to the pre-market open on Sundays.s. The Cash Bonds would be trading during the report releases, but they could not hedge with the Futures markets closed. Hence, a change was needed in the Futures market hours and an earlier opening time was instituted. Current Futures Market Trading Hours. This most recent change has to do with maintenance requirements. For weather products traded solely via CME ClearPort Clearing, the hours are as follows: Sunday-Friday 7:00 p.m.- 6:45 p.m. New York time/ET (6:00 p.m.- 5:45 p.m. Chicago Time/CT) with a 15-minute break each day beginning at 6:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (5:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT) *Denotes trading hours on CME Direct Auction Platform. Hog futures prices ended 2017 up +8.5% yr/yr at 71.775 cents per pound. Supply - The number of hogs on world farms as of January 1, 2019, rose by +1.1% to 781.565 million head. The number of hogs in the U.S. as of January 1, 2019, rose by +3.1% to 75.750 million head.
